Divorce can be complicated. Custody of the couple’s children, money and the family home are often key issues. All three factor in to a divorce case currently being watched closely by observers in Illinois and other states. In this case, the estranged husband and wife are in the middle of a bitter and contentious divorce battle. However, they are also still living together.
The wife, 43, is a reality star and branding guru, is said to be worth around $100 million. Her husband, 42, says that he contributed to her success. A friend of the wife’s disagreed, saying that a key brand was well-established before the husband came into the picture.
The couple met in 2008, when they were both at a nightclub in the Meatpacking District. They married two years later, in 2010. At that time the wife, who had starred on Real Housewives of New York City, was pregnant with their daughter. She filed for divorce from her husband three years after that, in 2013. At the time, she said that there were fundamental differences between them.
In the 11 months since, the husband and wife have continued to live together. They both reside in a $5 million condominium that they co-own in Tribeca. According to reports, the wife has described continuing to live with her estranged husband as “very stressful”. Regardless of the dynamic between them, both remain devoted to their 3-year-old daughter.
